To continue building with low environmental impact, the trees in the building site were used as members of the structure and decorations instead of being lost. The interior uses natural materials in the wood and tile floors. All interior walls are constructed to provide soundproofing for quieter rooms for screening purposes.

This new location adds to the services available to residents of the surrounding areas of Porters Neck, Hampstead, Holly Ridge and beyond.
Currently, residents of Porters Neck and Hampstead must drive more than 15 miles to the practice’s main location on New Hanover Medical Park Drive to receive essential vision specialist services such as cataract evaluation, corneal disease treatment, and pediatric and adult strabismus . With the new, more convenient Scotts Hill location, residents will have access to these important vision services. In addition, residents will also have more flexibility in scheduling all the care and vision services the project offers, including preventive care appointments.
Wilmington Eye is excited to expand our services in such a growing area. In particular, we know that it can be time-consuming and increasingly difficult for the population of Hampstead and the surrounding area to travel to Wilmington for medical services.
